KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes VI, first reign, circa 60-62. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 4.37 g, 12 h), second series, Artagigarta (?), 60-62. Draped bust of Tigranes VI to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with four eagles and tied with a diadem. Rev. [BAΣIΛEΩΣ] / TIΓPAN[OY] - MEΓAΛO[Y] Nike standing right, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond over her left shoulder. Kovacs 198 corr. (palm frond not mentioned). A lovely example with attractive earthen highlights. Very fine.
